SHINING STAR Chapter 17
“Hey Nick, you alright we heard ya fall out of your bunk”, Howie told him. “Yea, I’m fine”, Nick answered as he was grabbing some clothes and other things and putting them in a backpack. Howie stood there confused as he was a little shaky and acting weird. “Where you going?”, Howie asked. “California”, Nick told him. “What?! Are you nuts we have a concert tomorrow, you can’t you don’t have time” “I don’t care what you or anybody else say, I’m going. Dani’s in trouble and I gotta get there before anything happens”, Nick replied as Howie stood there speechless and Nick turned and left for the airport in a cab. *The Next Morning* Danielle had just gotten out of the shower and got dressed to go get ready to shoot the movie. She hadn’t slept that night since she had that dream of the stalker raping her. Every noise she heard made her become paranoid. She quickly grabbed the stuff she needed and called Barry to come to her room and take her to the set cause she was scared to be alone. *At The Airport Hotel* Nick sat in his room calling all the people he knew that could try and help him find out what hotel Dani was staying out. The last call he made was successful. He grabbed his coat and left out the door getting a cab and heading for Danielle’s hotel. *At The Set* A couple hours later Dani had her break. She decided she would head back to her hotel room and take a nap and try to see if she could get a hold of Nick. *Danielle Hotel Room* Nick had convinced the girl at the desk to give him the key to Danielle’s room, he opened the door and walked in closing the door behind him. The room was dead silent, it gave Nick a creepy feeling. As he walked toward Dani’s dresser he felt this awful pain stick into his side. He opened his mouth to yell of pain but nothing came out. He turned to look to see the guy stalker pulling the knife out. Nick fell onto the bed. “How’s it feel Carter, don’t worry you won’t be around much longer. I’m gonna look just like you soon and Dani will be all mine and I will have all the fame”, he smiled as he laughed and looked down at him. “No, you don’t touch Dani”, Nick said in a pissed off tone and managed to get up and leap at him. Danielle got off the elevator and walked to her room as she got her key out of her purse and put it in the door to unlock it. As she opened the door she saw something she thought she would never see. There was the stalker and Nick fighting, there was blood on the floor and bed and she noticed the knife over on the floor as they tried to fight for it. Danielle grabbed the knife as the stalker looked up and saw her as well as Nick did. “Dani! RUN! Get help”, Nick yelled as Danielle saw that stalker guy try to get up to come after her. Danielle took off running and took the stairs down to the lobby. She ran up to the lobby, “Hurry call the police there’s some trouble in my room we’re gonna need an ambulance too”, Danielle said out of breath and scared Nick was up there alone with that creepy guy. Danielle was about to go back up there when the security guards stopped her and made her wait there. It seemed like forever, the ambulance had finally arrived and the cops had been up there. As she looked up she saw the stalker with handcuffs on and the cops taking him away. “Don’t worry sweetheart I’ll be back soon”, he smiled as he was gone. Danielle felt a tear fall down her cheek and was interrupted. “Baby don’t cry, I hate to see you cry”, Nick said softly as he was rolled out on a stretcher. “Oh god Nick you alright?”, Danielle asked worried. “Yes I’ll be fine”, Nick said trying to put on a smile. Nick was then took into the ambulance as Danielle got in with him to go to the hospital. *At The Hospital* Danielle paced back and forth in the waiting room, she decided to go try and call the guys and tell them about Nick. She walked down the hall to a private room as she got her cell phone out and called the studio first to tell them she was at the hospital and then she dialed Brian’s cell phone number. “Hello?”, Brian answered into the phone. “Brian, don’t hang up. This is important”, Danielle told him. Brian sighed, “What do you want Danielle?” “Nick’s here in the California hospital”, Danielle told him. “What?! Why?”, Brian exclaimed. “I was coming back of the movie set and when I came into my hotel room that stalker guy Seth and Nick were fighting and the stalker had stabbed Nick. They said that he should be fine he just needs stitches, and the stalker guy was arrested”, Danielle explained to him. “He was right”, Brian said slowly. “Right about what?”, Danielle asked confused. “He left yesterday in a hurry because he said he had a dream that the stalker was going come after you again”, Brian replied. Danielle
stood there speechless thinking if he hadn’t came then she might have
had something bad happen to her.
