Chapter 18

*Later On That Night*

Danielle sat in a little café, she had just came back from the police station answering questioning, and she needed time to think before she saw Nick again. She was interrupted in her thought by a couple girls.

“Excuse me”, one asked. Danielle looked up, “Yes?”

“How can you say no to Nick Carter?!”, the other girl asked in a snotty tone.

“Excuse me, but this is none of your business, I have things going on, please I just wanna be left alone”, Danielle responded off at first starting to get pissed then stopped not letting them get to her.

“You’re a bitch”, the girl replied with a smile. Danielle looked up again from her script, “Ok whatever you wanna say, I’m not gonna start anything with you cause you have no clue what’s going on, you have no clue what just happened today!”. She then got up and left those two girls standing there.

“Sometimes being noticed is a pain in my ass”, Danielle mumbled to herself as she caught a cab back to the hospital.

*At The Hospital*

Danielle walked down the hall to Nick’s hospital room, as she walked in she saw Brian, Kevin, Howie, and AJ in there. They all noticed her as they turned around. They all stood there in silence, Danielle walked past them over to Nick’s side, “Can we be alone please, I don’t want no more trouble today?”. They all nodded as they left the room shutting the door behind them.

“Hey…..you alright”, Nick asked turning his head to face her.

“Hey, yeah I’m fine, but you shouldn’t be asking about me, you’re the one that got hurt Nick”, she replied.

“I’m just glad it wasn’t you”, he told her. A tear fell down Danielle’s face, she felt like she had let Nick down and embarrassed him in the huge crowd of people at his concert that night, “I’m sorry Nick”

“It’s alright”, Nick told her.

“No it’s not. You asked me to marry you and all I did was say no to your face and run off. I don’t know why I even know why I said no, it’s just so much has happened to me in this short amount of time, I was scared and shocked when you asked me to marry you”, Danielle explained.

“I know Dani”, Nick said taking her hand, “I understand that”

“Nick?”, Danielle asked.

“Yeah?”

“If I could turn back time, I would have said yes”

“Really?”

“Yes, Nick. I know how I always said I never would get close to someone that is famous and is in the music business, but now that I’ve really experienced being with you, I don’t care about your fame or if you have a thousand girls screaming for you, I see that you make tons of people happy with your music, and you make me happy”, Danielle said as more tears fell down her face. Nick lifted his hand up to her face as he wiped her tears away.

*A Week Later*

Nick’s wound ha healed up good and he had only a couple more days off till he and the guys would have to go back on tour and finish the postponed dates as well. Today Nick and Dani had been invited to join the Rosie Show that was in California. Nobody knew that him and Dani had gotten back together after the night at the concert with the engagement. All they heard was that the stalker that had been stalking all the girlfriends before and Dani had got caught and fought with Nick, which had been taken to the hospital and Dani was spotted there with him.

Danielle sat in her and Nick’s hotel room watching tv while Nick was in the shower, she was thinking and surprised that her and Nick were invited on the show together.

*At The Rosie Show*

Danielle and Nick were both in their own dressing rooms getting ready.

“Nick your on”, a person said knocking on the door. He answered ok and got up and left out his door headed over to the side stage waiting for his sue to walk out. Danielle watched on the tv she had in her dressing room.

“Ok everybody, you know him from the Backstreet Boys, the sweet and talented Nick Carter”, Rosie announced as a huge crowd of girls screamed as Nick walked over and gave Rosie a hug and sat down.

“Hello Nick, how are you doing?”, Rosie asked.

“I’m doing a lot better the guys and us will be going back on tour in a couple of days and then at the end of the tour we’re gonna finish up the postponed dates we had to cancel”, Nick explained.

“I know most of you guys don’t like to talk about your personal relationships, but it’s been rumored Danielle has been seen around with you recently, are you two back together?”, Rosie questioned.

“Yes we’re seeing each other again, many people don’t know the real reason why she said no to the engagement. I had bad timing Dani’s been going through so many chances, losing her mom, meeting me and getting introduced into the fans eyes, and know she’s playing in a movie”, Nick explained.

“Oh I’m so sorry to hear about all that, but at least she has a nice understanding guy like you. How about we bring Danielle out here now. Ladies and Gentleman the new next upcoming Julia Roberts, Miss Danielle Patterson”. Danielle came walking out, she smiled as she glanced at the crowd and waved as they clapped. She was given a hug by Rosie before she sat down next to Nick. Nick had grabbed her hand and held it in trying to comfort her as they sat there knowing Dani was nervous.

“It’s nice to finally meet you, you two make such a cute couple”, Rosie told them.

“Thanks”, Danielle smiled.

“So tell us a little about this movie your making now”, Rosie replied.

“Well the movie is called Falling In Love With You and along side me is my co star Barry Watson. It’s basically a love story as you can tell in the title. This girl and guy grow up together as friends and things change as they grow up and make different friends, they end up losing in touch and when they both end up going to college they actually go to the same one. They continue to run into each other there and while each of them for their share of bad relationships, they realized how much they are falling in love with each other when they’re spending so much time together.”, Danielle explained to her.

“Wow that seems like it’s gonna be a nice movie”, Rosie smiled, “How you like it so far?”

“It’s great, it’s a dream come true actually”, Danielle laughed.

“Yes I bet it is, but one thing I’m curious about you and Nick. When Nick and the rest of bsb was on the show last time, Nick had drawn a picture that looked just like you. How did you two meet?”, Rosie asked them both. Danielle turned to look at Nick and smiled.

“Well”, Nick laughed, “It’s a weird story, it’s more like of a dream for us both”, Nick answered.

“A dream huh?”, Rosie asked.

“Well Nick and I had these dreams of meeting each other and that’s how Nick had drawn that picture without meeting me in person yet”, Danielle started.

“And I had brought that picture on here trying to find Dani, and as it turned out some fans found her and posted it on a bsb website and I saw it and we had a concert in her hometown that night, and some girl had tried to go crazy on Dani saying she knew me cause I drew a picture of me, Danielle was brought backstage to get fixed up cause she got hurt and I ended up coming out and we talked and we’ve basically been staying in touch, learning how much we have in common and how happy we make each other”, Nick finished.

“I know it may seem a little weird, it was different to us even, but I’m certainly glad it happened”, Danielle responded.

“Awww”, Rosie sounded as well as the crowd, “That’s such a nice little love story”

“Yes and that’s why since I know better when to have better timing”, Nick started as he got up out of his chair and kneeled down in front of Dani. He took both of her hands as everybody around was silent.

“Dani, we’ve been through a lot in this short amount of time, but we proved that we could get through it all together. Our dreams with always be our destiny. Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me, and ever since the first time I dreamt of you, I had this feeling that you were the women that I would be able to spend my whole life with, will you do me the honor and be my wife?”, Nick smiled as Danielle was smiling too as well as tears fell down her face too.

“Yes Nick, Yes!”, Danielle exclaimed happily, “I love you”. Nick smiled as he slipped the beautiful diamond ring shaped into a dolphin on her ring finger, “I love you too”. As Danielle stood up Nick wrapped his arms around her waist lifting her up and they were caught in a kiss of happiness.
