SHINING STAR Chapter 3
Nick
could hear the sound of someone crying, he looked around to see where he
was. It was snowing all around him and it was starting to get dark out.
He began to walk down the sidewalk as he did the crying got louder and
louder. Just as he walked past a blue house it was at the loudest he
could hear the crying and it started to get quieter and quieter as he
walked further from the house. He turned around and walked back to the
house as the crying got louder again. Nick walked up to the house and
turned the door knob and the door opened slowly. He looked around and
decided to go up the stairs. As he reached the top he went to the
hallway on the right and stopped at a door that was slightly open. He
peeked in to see a girl curled up on her bed crying. Nick pushed the
door open and walked in as he walked closer up to the girl he noticed it
was the girl that he had been talking to all the times before. "Baby,
why you crying what’s wrong?", Nick asked softly as he placed his
hand on her back to try to comfort her. She looked up at him as tears
still fell down her face. "Nick!?",
Brian’s voice called, "Nick….NICK!!" "Huh?
What?", Nick responded jumping up fast from the couch where he had
been sleeping on the tour bus. "We
are here, it’s time for us to practice for tonight’s concert",
Brian told him, "What’s with the sad face?" "Oh
umm nothing", Nick lied not wanting to tell Brian about the dream
cause he never he would probably laugh again. A
Couple Hours Later "Nick,
can I talk to you outside for a moment", Fatima asked as the music
stopped and all the guys stopped their practice. Nick looked up and
nodded silently as he followed Fatima outside. "What’s
up with Nick today Bri?", Kevin asked. "I
dunno he seems depressed about something, but he won’t tell me",
Brian answered. "Maybe
it’s about that girl he’s dreaming about. Ya know what I bet she
broke up with him", AJ snickered. The guys all looked at each other
and laughed it off. *Outside "Nick,
what is up with you today?", Fatima asked. "What
do you mean? I’m fine", Nick lied with a straight face. "If
your so fine why does it seem like you don’t know any of the dance
moves, you completely suck today. You had that dance down pat, it
can’t be suddenly gone. I can tell something’s up with you besides
your dancing sucking, you haven’t smiled all day. Your not talking
hardly with the guys, and your not even joking around with Brian",
Fatima told him. Nick
stood there silent for a couple minutes all he could picture was that
girl laying on her bed crying, it was driving him nuts he didn’t know
why she was crying. "Sorry, I’m just having a bed day Fatima.
I’ll do great at our concert tonight, I promise. I won’t even mess
up", Nick answered and then turned around and walked back to get on
the tour bus to get something to eat. Fatima stood there for a moment
then shook her head and went back into the practice room, "Ok guys
you can go back and get something to eat too" "Hey
Fatima, did you find out what was wrong with Nick?", Brian asked. "Nope,
he won’t crack, not a word about anything", she replied. "It’s
gotta be about that girl", AJ told them. "I
think we’ve been a little mean towards him about that guys. I mean he
told us and all we did was laugh about it and make fun of it",
Howie explained, "Maybe that’s why he’s so down, he trusted us
to tell us that and look what we’ve been doing" "Yea
Howie your right let’s go talk to him now about it", Kevin said
as they all headed for the tour bus.
