SHINING STAR Chapter 14
*Back In The Hotel Room* Danielle stood in front of the full length mirror of Nick’s hotel room. Her hair had been cut a little with some long layers and curled with strawberry blonde highlights. She wore a blue leopard skirt with a black triangular halter top. She was knocked out of her thoughts when she heard a knock on the door. She walked over the door thinking it was Leighanne. “Hey Leighan……Oh sorry I thought you were gonna be somebody else”, Danielle said a little surprised. “Oh, maybe I don’t have the right room”, the guy answered. “Maybe I could help, who is it your looking for?”, Danielle asked. “I was looking for my friend Nick Carter, he told me this number maybe I misunderstood him”, he told her. “No, this is Nick’s room. Hi, I’m Danielle, Nick’s girlfriend. Come in”, Danielle offered. He walked in and sat down on the couch, “Nice to meet you Danielle”, he smiled looking her up and down, “I’m Seth, one of Nick’s best friends. We grew up together. So where does Nick happen to be?” “Oh really. It’s nice to meet you too. Nick’s gone already getting ready for the concert tonight”, Danielle told him as she noticed Seth move his hand on her knee. Danielle froze she couldn’t believe what this guy was trying to do, she got scared and thought about a couple years ago when she was raped by her ex. She closed her eyes as she felt his hand ride up her skirt a little bit each time. Danielle opened her eyes, “Excuse me what the hell do you think you are trying to do!”. She then slapped him in the face. Seth then jumped on top of her. “Oooh a feisty one, Nick picks the good ones”, he smiled. Danielle tried to fight him off her but he was too strong for her. There became a knock on the door as Seth jumped off her, “One word to my friend and your gone, GOT IT?”. Danielle sat up quickly and nodded and went over to the door quickly and opened it. “Hey Dani”, AJ answered. “AJ! Hi, come in please”, Danielle said relieved somebody came. He walked in and shut the door. Danielle looked around and noticed the guy left out of the other door. “Something wrong?”, AJ asked seeing she kept looking around the room. “Can I tell you a secret about one of Nick’s friends?”, Danielle asked. “Yeah” “Well one of Nick’s friends was just here, I let him in and he came on to me. It scared me and was touching me and then he jumped on me and he stopped and left out the other door when you knocked on the door”, Danielle told him as a tear fell down her face. “Which one of Nick’s friend was this?” “Seth” “Seth? Nick doesn’t have a friend named Seth” “What!? Oh my god, you mean I let a total stranger in”, Danielle said shaking a little. AJ pulled Danielle next to him and gave her a hug. “We have to tell Nick about this, it’s scary to say but we might have a stalker here. It happened to Leighanne and Kristen before, the same name too”, AJ told her. “Oh god”, Danielle cried more, “I don’t want something like this to happen to me again”. AJ looked at her, “You mean you were raped before?” “Y…Yea”, Danielle nodded ashamed. “Don’t worry, Nick’s not gonna let anything happen to you. He loves you so much”, AJ replied to her as Leighanne came walking in. AJ explained the whole thing to her. AJ then left back to the concert arena to get ready and tell Nick about what happened and get Danielle’s surprise for her. Leighanne fixed Danielle up and they left for the concert in a limo. *At The Concert Arena* Danielle stepped out of the limp first with Leighanne right behind her. The fans all were looking and came running over towards them. Danielle looked behind her at Leighanne a little scared of all these people running for them. Leighanne turned to the limo as two of the guys security guards that came with them backed them up. Danielle and Leighanne did some quick signings and photos and then got into the arena to the first center row seats. *During the End Of The Concert* Nick came walking out onto the stage as the others stayed backstage for a moment. “Hello Everybody. I hope your having as much fun as I am tonight. This crowd is gonna get a little preview of a song that I wrote. But first I would like Dani my girlfriend to come up here for this special part.”, Nick smiled as he walked down to her and took her hand and they both walked back up on stage together hand in hand. Danielle looked around at the whole crowd and then met eye contact with Nick. “Dani, I wrote this song for you. It’s called Shining Star”, Nick told her as the lights went out. Danielle then felt this lift underneath them. “Baby don’t worry this is a part of the show, we’re on a lift going up, me and you are gonna do a little dance”, Nick whispered to her. The smoke filled the bottom of the stage area as they other guys and dances came on and got in there positions. The light lit on the stage as all the guys and dancers still there. Then these strobes lights of stars began to go all around as the beat began and a light hit on Dani and Nick who were up in the air now. Nick and all the others began to sing. Nick smiled and looked deep into her eyes as he took both of her hands and began to dance with her. The whole audience was amazed by the song and performance of it as it ended and the lift was now back on the floor. Danielle was about to say goodbye to Nick and go back to her seat when he stopped her. “How’d you all think the song was?”, Nick asked as all the fans screamed, “Well I’d like to thank all the fans that have been supportive of relationship with Dani. And Dani you the best inspiration to me. When I first met you it was like heaven. You’re my lucky star. You mean everything to me”, Nick paused as he got down on his knee. Danielle’s eye’s widened. “Dani, I love you and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you cause you’re my shining star that lights up my heart, Will you marry me?”, Nick replied as he looked straight into her eyes. Danielle paused she was shocked he had asked her this, they hadn’t even known each other for that long. She didn’t know what to say. Nick looked at her nervously now, she had been standing there looking him in the eyes but nothing came out of her mouth until this moment. “I’m sorry Nick…….no I can’t”, Danielle replied as gasps were heard through the whole arena. Nick stood up, he was shocked he hadn’t ever worried before cause he thought she would say yes. Danielle stood there and took one look in Nick eyes. She saw the hurt look in his eyes. She quickly ran off the stage and out of the arena.
